Children do not need to be potty-trained for this program. Parents will remain in the classroom with their child.
This interactive, hands-on learning experience is designed for parents and their 2-3 year olds as preparation for attending preschool the following school year. The Toddler Enrichment program was designed by Kathleen Heydorn, who holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education and has experience teaching in Montessori, Social-Constructivist, and Thematic based preschool programs.
Toddler Enrichment offers a chance for toddlers to socialize and become accustomed to a class situation while parents gain skills in observation of their childs learning style to better determine the best preschool setting for their childs needs. They will be given valuable information about the different preschool teaching methods, checklists about what to look for when screening preschools, and information about area programs.
Children will joyfully explore art, drama, childrens literature, and play. They will participate in group time, center activities, art exploration, music and movement as well as a snack time with their friends.
You may choose to attend an Our Time Kindermusik® class scheduled directly before or after your Toddler Enrichment class.
Kinder - Enrichment
4-5 Year Olds

3 Days: $199 Monthly
This class is designed for children preparing to
enter Kindergarten the following year AND for
those in morning Kindergarten classes who may desire extra enrichment. The focus will be on beginning reading skills and work with numbers,
and will incorporate language, art and science.
It will include a 30 minute Music and Movement
class taught by a dance instructor and a 30
minute Music Enrichment class taught by a Kindermusik teacher.
Children will be assessed at the beginning of the
year based on Kindergarten readiness skills and
then re-assessed mid-year and at the end of the
year to show the teacher and the parents the
childs progress as well as areas where extra
support is needed.
The Little Star School classes are not a part of the Kindermusik program or curriculum. Money paid to The Little Star School is not transferable to Kindermusik. Children enrolled in the Little Star School, however, are entitled to a 10% discount for Kindermusik classes.

*No make-ups or credits are given for missed classes, classes that fall on holidays, or if The Little Star Academy is closed due to weather conditions. Day classes will be cancelled if Stow/Monroe Falls School District has a Snow Day. Classes after 3pm will be cancelled if Kent State University evening classes are closed due to weather.

Our Philosophy:
Concepts should be taught to and through the whole child. Meaningful learning is created from a childs natural curiosity and is tailored by a teachers ability to reach all aspects of learning through their interest. Fundamentals of mathematics, language, science, and social studies can be taught joyfully when children are exposed to different mediums of exploration such as music, movement, visual, and art mediums.
